Little Falls, New York – Saying that “Americans can handle the truth,” Martin Babinec, a successful businessman, serial entrepreneur, startup investor and Independence Party Candidate for the 22nd Congressional District today called for the release of the classified 28 pages from the 2002 9/11 Commission Report.

“I believe in the American people and know that they can handle the truth of whatever is in the 28 page report,” said Babinec.

Added Babinec, “Today, too many Americans don’t trust that their government in Washington is telling the truth – they believe a cabal of special interests and career politicians are perpetuating lies. I’m running for Congress as independent, free of PAC special interests, to break down those perceptions and restore trust.”

The classified 28 pages, which many believe will expose Saudi support for the 9/11 hijackers, has been the subject of intense discussion in recent weeks. Those opposed to releasing the documents are concerned that it could negatively impact America’s relationship with the Saudi government.

Concluded Babinec, “Whether it’s grappling with both the old and emerging threats of terror or realigning our economy to face the challenges of the 21st century we need to have an honest and frank conversation with the American people.”
